(http://www.abc.net.au/news/stories/2010/05/03/2888821.htm)。

Nobody likes to accept it but our malignant population growth, manufactured by our State and Federal governments, has to take some of the blame for our rising crime rate. It adds to family stress, loss of social capital to deal with housing and infrastructure inadequacies, and loss of family and community support. The rising number of ghettos, "social housing", mortgage stress and unemployment means that extended families have to move away from each other, and with high immigration levels, it is hard to maintain social cohesion.
The murder of Indian student Nitin Garg is tragedy, and shameful to "safe" Australia. Why was the alleged killer, a mere 15 year old, not at home with his family at such a time? Why did he have a knife?
There are little deterrents for major crimes of violence any more, and the worst these kids get is a wrap on the knuckles or a short time in "reform"! There are too many "human rights" and not enough rights to protect the public from ferals in the ghettos of our city.
All the stresses imposed on families mean eroding lifestyles and lack of opportunities, and is evidenced in rising crime and violence. Australia used to have low crime rates. This and other unprovoked attacks are symptoms of an ailing society.

Let's see if the judicial system elects to hand out an appropriate sentence this time. If the judge elects to go soft, then I suggest they take the youth in question to their home to reabilitate him, as opposed to set him free to do it again. BUT the Indian govt must do the same and bring back the Indian student who had fled Australia after being charged with culpable driving.

What was the alleged killer, a 15 year old, doing in a park, with a weapon, so late at night? Where were the parents? There are little deterrents for major crimes of violence any more, and the worst these kids get is a wrap on the knuckles or a short time in "reform"! What we need is to bring back the rope! There must be a place for capital punishment for capital crimes. There are too many "human rights" and not enough rights to protect us from these feral scum in ghetto parts of our city.
